The final event in Shift Practitioner, Dimity Podger’s Masterclass Series is: Leading with nobility for a new era. 

In this session you will explore leadership as a regenerative force and way of being. Build a greater sense of agency to create greater social and environmental impact in your leadership context. 

It has two parts: 

Part 1: Bringing purpose to life through partnerships. 

Blaise Porter, Director of Responsible Business, with Fujitsu Australia & New Zealand, will share how Fujitsu is bringing purpose to life through the supply chain and partnerships. 

Part 2: Embodying regenerative ways of being

Sara Rickards, Regenerative Designer, coach, storyteller and alchemist, and Ash Buchanan, co-initiator of Benefit Mindset and Cohere lead this session. 

Participants will be guided through a regenerative process to nurture integration and embodiment and to support everyone with building a sense of agency to create greater social and environmental impact in their leadership context.

Your Guest Speakers and Facilitators:

Blaise Porter, Director of Responsible Business at Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand

Blaise believes technology can deliver inclusive and sustainable benefits for society – and as Director of Responsible Business at Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand, she gets the job of putting it into practice! She directs Fujitsu’s sustainability, community and Indigenous programs; ensuring Fujitsu delivers value to customers and society.  The wide-ranging sustainability practice includes both internal and external ICT sustainability consulting, energy, waste, product stewardship and employee engagement across the region.  A passionate advocate for diversity in the ICT industry, she sits on Fujitsu’s D&I council and has chaired their Reconciliation Action Committee since 2016, and is currently completing her Masters in Sustainability & Climate Policy.

George Mifsud, Director Indigenous Defence & Infrastructure Consortium 

With over 25 years’ experience in Senior Executive Leadership roles, his working career has spanned the globe and is a success story to be shared. George thrived as the Executive Director of Compass Group is a committed advocate of sustainable outcomes in the area of both Indigenous employment and Indigenous business. Under George’s leadership, Compass Group achieved a number of important milestones in its pursuit to promote Indigenous economic development including the following awards: Inaugural recipient of the Prime Minister's Corporate Leaders for Indigenous Employment Award; judged one of the "Top Ten Best Employers in Australia"; winner of the "Prime Minister's Employer of the Year" award ; the IFAP Safe Way Gold Award. He is now Director of the Indigenous Defence & Infrastructure Consortium (iDiC). George and the team at the iDiC are at the forefront of change working closely with federal and state governments, captains of corporate industry and prime contractors; and have the opportunity to innovate and develop a better future. George is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is the Chair of Sydney Montessori School and was a director Restaurant & Catering Australia, Supply Nation and the Sydney Convention and Exhibition centre.  George is married to Krista, has 4 daughters and enjoys being with family and connecting with the land and water.

Sara Rickards, Regenerative Designer, coach, storyteller and alchemist / Futuregiving

Sara is a Regenerative Designer - Renegade Biomedical Scientist & Recovering Environmental Engineer - With over 10 years experience in sustainability and systems change. She is a published author in education, systems, design, transformative learning and eco-footprinting.

In a previous life she was the Education For Sustainability Manager at Macquarie University, Program Manager for The Centre of Sustainability Leadership, Co-host for the Un-school of Disruptive Design, TEDx speaker and Associate Editor of the International Journal of Sustainability in Higher Education.

Ash Buchanan, co-initiator of Benefit Mindset and Cohere

Ash Buchanan is an educator, collaborator, and wellbeing practitioner living in Melbourne, Australia. His work is informed by a love for the natural world and for bringing people closer together. He is a student of a number of restorative and regenerative practices, including: Theory U, collective healing, social process, systems leadership, co-design, mindfulness, and yoga. He is the founder of cohere, a wellbeing design agency, and he is the initiator of an action research initiative called benefit mindset, which supports schools and organisations with making a transformative contribution in the world.

Dr Dimity Podger, Director of Barasa Consulting Group and Masterclass Series Curator

Dr Dimity Podger is a leadership development facilitator and educator, and a consultant to purpose and values-driven organisations. She is the Director of Barasa Consulting Group, and creator of the Leading with Nobility Masterclass Series. For over 15 years, she has accompanied leaders and teams to get clear on their guiding compass - their guiding purpose, values and sustainability goals. Her focus is to support leaders and teams to gain clarity and capacity to create inclusive, collaborative, and ethical cultures, so that they can navigate through complexity with nobility, confidence and courage. Dimity also facilitates ethical leadership and values-driven culture programs as an associate with The Ethics Centre, co-leads the Leading With Purpose program for AGSM UNSW @ Business school, and serves on the Corporate Governance Committee of the AICD Corporate Governance Committee. Her doctorate in "Infusing spirituality into education for sustainability", guides her approach to her work. She also draws on international research she was apart of with civil society organisations and businesses, focused on values-driven organisational change.  

Dimity is passionate about working with people who are committed to their own personal journey of character development and making a meaningful contribution to the regeneration of society and the environment.
